First impression about the University.

When I saw photos of the University in Poland, I thought that this is the place where I wanted to study.
I came here about one year ago to study Journalism.  The first days in here were the most terrifying days in my life. I didn't have a place to live in and I didn't know the city at all.
My first impression of the University was disappointing. I saw a building which was not finished and it didn't seem to be finished until September 2009.  I had so many thoughts in my head e.g. “They lied to me, they sent me fake pictures of the university, I want to go back home “etc.
But everything went very well.  The people I've met at university helped me out with accommodation.  They were very friendly and helpful.
In September 2009, University finished. I was really happy that everything that I saw in the pictures in Poland was real.  I'd chosen quite a difficult course for a foreign student.  It was quite a hard time for me because my English was much worse than now.  I quite liked my Journalism group but after about half a year I decided to change my course to Advertising Management and Digital Media Communications.  It was quite a hard decision for me because I weren't sure if I had to stay in England or go back to Poland and start University back there.  I had a break of half a year between the courses.
I was really nervous during the first week of the University. I had so many questions about the group, and if I had chosen the right course. So far I can say that I really like the course and I have found the group to be really nice people.

  1. Actually your written English is very good now if this is anything to go by :) I hope you enjoy the new course and end up feeling that it was the right decision.
I look forward to seeing the next two postings on perception. Try to do it soon or you will forget what we covered in class

  2. I’m glad everything went well. I must say that I thinking about study there, but I worry about my English and I can’t even imagine how much stress it cost you.
    You inspired me a bit.
